What's new
This beta release introduces one new primitive and ships upgrades to two existing ones.
- Workspaces (new) are the access primitive. Membership decides who sees which Matters, set once at the Workspace level.
- Matters V2 add a Tasks panel, status and due-date fields in the header, a pinned-note banner, and a persistent Ask Irys floating window scoped to the Matter.
- Library V2 moves to a Finder-style layout with a sidebar, sortable table, and preview pane. Send for Signature and Open in Drafting Assistant now work directly from the Library.
- File uploads are bigger: up to 200 MB per file (4× larger than before) and 500 files per upload across both Library and Matter (10× more for Matter uploads). JPEG is now an explicitly supported file type.
Why this matters
You no longer juggle access through grouping labels — Workspaces enforce who sees which Matters from a single switcher in the header. The Matter dashboard answers "what's next?" at a glance with status, due date, assignees, and tasks all visible without leaving the page. And Library actions like signing or drafting connect back to the Matter you came from, so the work stays in context.
How to use it
- Open the workspace switcher in the top-right header to move between practice areas, departments, or client teams
- Inside a Matter, the Tasks panel appears alongside Documents, Conversations, Notes, Drafts, and Review Matrix
- Click any document in the Library to open the preview pane — every action you'd take on a document is one click away
- Drop a document into the upload modal and use the new 200 MB / 500 file limits
This release is rolling out to selected workspaces. If you don't see the workspace switcher in your top-right header yet, it's on its way.
