The full platform, Free to Irys One.
Every plan, Free included, gets the whole product: unlimited matters and playbooks, your document library, Compare, multi-document analysis, the Drafting Assistant, Cite Check, the Word Add-In, e-signature, and more. No gated modules. The only differences are the usage limits above.
Every plan gets real help, not a ticket queue.
Why flat, not metered
$299 is the price. No token billing. No surprises.
Claude's public plans are $20, $100, and $200 per month, each with defined usage capacities, and some enterprise configurations use credits or usage-based billing. Confirm current terms with Anthropic. Irys One is one flat number, with no per-token or per-query overage on the advertised plan.
Anthropic publishes individual plans at fixed prices, each with a defined usage capacity. Legal work is document-heavy, so before choosing a plan, confirm what your expected usage requires and what happens when you reach the capacity limit.
Every seat. Every module. Every matter. No token caps, no usage tiers, no overage line. We absorb the model math so you do not have to budget for it. One predictable line item.
- Research, drafting, redlining, matter management, Word add-in
- Citation checking against federal and state opinions
- Persistent matter memory across every session
- Contractual zero data retention, SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR
- Annual billing saves up to 15%
The build-it-yourself math
Building on Claude, you bear the engineering burden.
Raw Claude is the foundation-model layer only. Legal-specific skills, citation verification, matter context, audit trails, integrations to iManage and Westlaw and Outlook, skill versioning across every model release, and a Word integration where lawyers actually live.
All of it lives above Level 1.
What happens at renewal
Know what year two costs before you sign.
Most enterprise legal AI contracts are negotiated and unpublished, so the only way to know what year two costs is to ask before you sign. Ask each vendor whether introductory discounts expire, what renewal caps apply, whether adding seats changes the per-seat rate, and whether usage can trigger additional charges.
With Irys, the answer is published.
Irys One is $299 per month, with no per-token or per-query overage on the advertised plan.
Annual customers keep their contracted rate for the term of the agreement.
No overage line item, no usage tiers, and price protections that apply as stated in the customer agreement.
What Irys One includes
Everything a practicing attorney needs.
No add-ons. No surprise fees. No gated features. Unlimited AI.
The same full platform whether you're solo or running a legal team.
Coming with Irys Teams
Built for how legal teams grow.
Multi-attorney workflows ship as part of Irys Teams, the plan above Irys One.
Shared workspaces
Multi-user matter access with firm-level admin.
Every attorney on the team gets into the same matter with access controls. The firm admin decides who sees what. Shared matters mean shared context, no more emailing drafts back and forth.
Matter-level team chat
Decisions captured in-platform, not in Slack.
Threaded chat attached to each matter. Strategy decisions, context, and coordination live where the work lives, not scattered across Slack, email, and text threads that disappear when someone leaves.
Firm-wide playbooks
One partner ingests, every associate gets it.
Encode how your firm actually handles a matter, negotiation positions, risk thresholds, preferred clauses, once. Every attorney on the team applies it automatically. Firm judgment, encoded and reusable.
Real-time collaboration
Multiple attorneys in the same matter concurrently.
Co-editing, presence indicators, and live cursors. See what your team is doing as they do it. No version confusion. No stepping on each other's edits.
Shared document library
Firm-wide knowledge with access controls.
Upload once, search across every matter. Precedent, templates, research, and institutional knowledge all accessible to the team with granular permissions.
SSO & admin controls
Single sign-on, role-based permissions, audit logs.
Enterprise-grade security for any team size. SSO/SAML, role-based access, department silos, and a full audit trail. Meets procurement requirements without an enterprise rollout.
Activity notifications
@mentions, matter updates, team awareness.
Stay on top of what's happening without checking constantly. Get pinged when a colleague changes a key document, a deadline approaches, or a research task completes.
Client portal
Free access for your clients, secure and branded.
Invite clients into a matter, share deliverables, collect signatures, and exchange documents securely. No separate tool, no extra bill.
Irys One vs everything else
Compare what is actually published.
General AI plans are inexpensive but carry defined usage capacities and no legal-specific infrastructure. Most enterprise legal AI platforms do not publish standard pricing at all. Irys One is a flat $299, with everything included and no per-token or per-query overage on the advertised plan.

Irys One: legal-native platform. General AI: Claude Pro, ChatGPT Plus. Enterprise legal AI: Harvey, CoCounsel and similar.
At $299 a month, Irys One pairs a legal-native platform with a flat published rate and no per-token or per-query overage on the advertised plan. Comparisons based on publicly available information reviewed July 28, 2026.
Privilege and data control
Uncompromising security.
Enterprise-grade security on every plan, including Free. It's built into the architecture, not gated behind a tier.
Client data
Client data never touches a frontier model's training pipeline.
Zero retention
Our AI systems do not retain your data, your tenant profile; your data is yours on Irys.
Thinking Trail
AI activity is captured in an audit trail attached to the matter.
Tenant isolation
Tenant isolation separates your data and access from other chats, matters, and users.
Architecture
We're built different.
Three reasons Irys One can be a flat, published $299 while much of the enterprise legal AI market prices by sales quote.
Most legal AI is a wrapper.
Every query pays the frontier lab directly.
Most legal AI tools route every query to Claude or GPT-4. Their cost structure is the lab's price list, which is why they charge $1,200+ per seat to keep the lights on.
- 100% of compute cost is LLM token cost
- Margins depend on the labs cutting prices
- No structural moat, a pass-through business
Irys is three proprietary layers.
Knowledge graph, agentic retrieval, matter context memory.
Every matter produces a structured representation built once and cached. An orchestration layer fetches only what's needed. Matter memory persists across sessions. Only the final synthesis step calls a frontier model.
- 80% of compute happens before the LLM is called
- Model-agnostic, improves as Claude and GPT improve
- Matter-aware by default, not by add-on
$20 in compute, not $600.
That cost difference is structural, not promotional.
A heavy Irys One power user costs us under $20 per month in compute. Wrapper competitors pay $600+ on the frontier lab for the same usage. We don't need to charge $1,200 to sustain margins, so we don't.
- Service-like margins at software-like prices
- Insulated from lab price volatility
- Efficiency passed to customers, not extracted
Common questions
Common Questions
What's included in the 7-day free trial?
Everything. The full Irys One product. Unlimited matters, unlimited documents, every feature, no credit card required. Start working on your real matters. That's the best way to evaluate us.
Is there a cheaper way to evaluate Irys?
Irys Lite is a capped on-ramp at $19.99/month, the full platform with usage limits designed for evaluation, not daily practice. Most lawyers who try Lite outgrow it quickly and move up to Irys One. The 7-day free trial of Irys One is the most direct evaluation. Load a real matter and decide on a real workload.
Can I change plans later?
Yes. You can upgrade from Irys Lite to Irys One at any time, and from Irys One to Irys Teams. If your firm needs Enterprise features (SSO, white labeling, custom terms), our team handles the transition. Your existing rate is preserved through the upgrade.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancellation is self-serve from your account. If you cancel, you keep access through the end of your billing cycle, and your data is preserved for 90 days in case you come back.
Do you offer annual billing?
Yes. Annual billing saves up to 15%. On Irys One that is $3,049 per year instead of $3,588.
Is Irys SOC 2 compliant?
Yes. Irys is SOC 2 Type II certified, with full audit trails for attorney-client privileged data. Our infrastructure is designed to enterprise compliance standards.
How is this different from Harvey or CoCounsel?
Most legal AI tools are a layer of prompts on top of a frontier model like Claude or GPT-4. Every query costs them API tokens, and their pricing reflects that overhead. Irys has its own architecture, a knowledge graph, agentic retrieval, and proprietary reasoning layer, that does 80% of the work before any LLM call. We priced accordingly.
