Legal Intake & Triage, Now in Irys One
Every new request brings emails to read, attachments to review, deadlines to identify, and documents to organize. Irys Intake handles the initial processing automatically, so your team can focus on the legal work that matters.

Why Intake
Stop spending valuable hours sorting through incoming work.
Every new request means more emails to read, attachments to review, details to identify, and documents to organize. That time adds up.
Irys Intake handles the initial review automatically, identifying incoming documents, extracting key information, and organizing everything in one place. Anything that needs attention is flagged for your review.
Less time managing incoming work. More time practicing law.
In-house teams with a request queue
Employment questions, IP queries, data requests and vendor paper all land in the same place.Firms running new-matter intake
Referrals and new work arrive by email, and each one is read by hand before anybody knows what it is.Solos with nobody to hand it to
A service of process that lands on a Friday afternoon cannot be the thing that gets missed. No reading the pile to find out what is in it.
Where work arrives
Stop Chasing Emails, Attachments, and Documents. Let Irys Bring It All Together.
New client requests and documents arrive from multiple sources, creating hours of unnecessary administrative work.
Irys Intake brings incoming emails and documents into one organized place, whether they come from your firm’s mailbox, a connected account, or a direct upload.
Upload it
Drop in an email with everything attached to it, or just a document.
Your connected account
Pull work in from the Gmail, Outlook, Google Drive or OneDrive account already connected to Irys.
Your intake mailbox
Connect the referrals or intake address your practice already has, and anything sent there arrives on its own.
Your mailbox stays yours. Irys does not issue you an address. You supply the one your practice already uses, verified with a one-time code, and you can revoke the connection. The mailbox needs two-factor turned on.
The register
Stop Opening Every Email Just to Find Out What Matters.
No more digging through your inbox, opening attachments, or searching for deadlines.
Irys Intake brings incoming work into one organized view, identifying the documents, relevant clients, important dates, and items requiring your attention.
Know what needs your review without spending hours looking for it.
Every fact links to its words
Click a value and the citation opens, then the document, at the page the words are on.Nothing unchecked reaches the register
A fact that could not be traced back to words in a document never gets there.Empty means not found
A blank field says Irys could not find it in what arrived. It does not say the document is silent on it.Confidence is routing, not decoration. A row tells you the decision, matched on its own or sent for a look, and never a percentage. When Irys genuinely cannot tell, it says so and waits for a person.
Handing it on
Move work forward without starting from scratch.
Nothing hands off silently. An item exists before a matter, and plenty of items never need one. When it is time to move the work, each exit shows you what is about to happen before it happens.
Assign it
Give it to the right person. The row says whose job it is.
Make it a matter
The item, its documents and the facts Irys pulled out go with it.
Send it to Sign
A signature package is prepared with the documents labelled and the signers filled in. It waits until a person sends it.
Open it in Workbench
The documents and the facts are already in context, and every answer carries the same citations.
Refer it to outside counsel
Send it out with one line of scope and access that expires. They need no Irys account, and the item stays on your register.
A hand-off moves the work, never the decision. Every exit lands visibly before the step that cannot be taken back.
Reviews
Review dozens of documents without reading each one individually.
A review is a set of documents and the questions you asked of them. Rows are the documents, columns are the questions.
Anything that arrived through Intake has already been read, so another question is close to free.
No document cap. Past about forty documents you get a plain warning, and nothing stops you.
What Irys takes off your plate
Your Time Is Too Valuable for Manual Intake.
Reading incoming emails, reviewing attachments, identifying key details, and organizing documents can consume hours of your team’s week.
Irys Intake automates much of that administrative work, so your team can spend less time processing incoming requests and more time serving clients and moving matters forward.
Stop opening every email and attachment
Irys reads incoming requests and documents to identify what arrived and what it concerns.
Stop hunting for important details
Key facts and deadlines are extracted and linked to source documents for review.
Stop organizing everything by hand
Incoming items are classified, matched where possible, and placed into a register for review.
Stop repeating the same work
Move documents and extracted facts into matters or downstream workflows without re-entering the information.
Before and after
The same work, without the sorting.

Not a contract lifecycle tool
Not Everything That Reaches Your Firm Is a Contract. All of It Takes Time to Review.
Client requests, correspondence, legal documents, and contracts arrive throughout the day. Reviewing and sorting everything manually takes valuable time away from legal work.
Irys Intake organizes incoming work, identifies key information, and helps your team determine what needs attention. Contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools manage contracts after they enter the contract workflow. Irys Intake helps you manage what comes through the door.
Your team stays in control of what gets reviewed, accepted, and acted upon.
Your own inbox rules come first
Irys only sees what the mailbox you connected lets through, so your spam and subject rules do the first pass.Dismiss is one click
Close an item out and it leaves the register without leaving the record.Nothing opens a matter by itself
Every matter is made by a person. Rules for opening one automatically can be saved, and they are visibly not running.Questions
Does Irys give my firm an intake address?
No. You supply the intake or referrals address your practice already uses. Irys verifies it with a one-time code and connects to it, the mailbox needs two-factor turned on, and you can revoke the connection. One intake mailbox per workspace, so a practice with a real estate address and a personal injury address keeps them apart.
How does work get into Intake?
Two ways. Upload an email with its attachments or a single document, up to 500 files at a time. Or connect your own intake mailbox, which Irys watches continuously so anything sent there arrives on its own. Signed agreements land there too once Sign is wired to it. Connecting Gmail or Outlook to Workbench is separate and does not feed the register.
Does anything become a matter automatically?
No. Every matter is made by a person. A process can hold the rules for opening one automatically, and today those rules are saved and visibly not running.
What counts as one item?
One email plus everything attached to it is one item, on one row. An item exists before a matter, and plenty of items never need one.
Does the register show a confidence score?
No. A row tells you the decision, matched on its own or sent for a look, and never a percentage. The item card explains the call in reasons you can argue with, and when Irys genuinely cannot tell, it says so and waits for a person.
Is Intake a contract lifecycle tool?
No, deliberately. Intake owns arrival and triage: what came in, what it is, what the facts are, and who is on it. A contract lifecycle tool owns what happens to a contract after that. Most of what reaches a legal team is not a contract at all.
What happened to Multi-Doc Analysis?
It is now Reviews, a destination inside Intake. Old Multi-Doc Analysis links still open the exact review they always did.
