What is My Desk?
My Desk is where you save the things you want to use again in Irys: prompts, notes, useful work, and Skills.
What's the difference between a Prompt and a Skill?
A Prompt is a set of instructions you want to reuse. A Skill is a repeatable set of steps Irys can follow to complete work. If you do something the same way repeatedly, save those steps as a Skill and run it again later.
Can I save my own prompts?
Yes. Save prompts that work for you and reuse them whenever you need them.
Can I save notes and useful work?
Yes. My Desk gives you one place to keep things you want to come back to. Notes saved from inside a matter or a chat carry that link automatically, and inside a matter your desk shows matter-linked items first.
Does Irys include ready-made Skills?
Yes. The Skills Registry in Settings lists skills in three groups: Yours, Firm-published, and Community. Use a ready-made skill or create your own; Install places it on your desk instantly.
How do I open My Desk?
There are four ways to open My Desk, and all of them work from any surface in Irys.
- Click My Desk in the left menu.
- Press Cmd+D (Ctrl+D on Windows) to toggle the panel open or closed.
- Click the My Desk button in the message box, on the Dashboard, in Workbench, or in Ask Irys.
- Type / in the message box in Workbench or Ask Irys to open a quick desk menu.
What happened to the Playbook tab?
The tab formerly called Playbook is now called Prompts, and the old Prompt Architect has been replaced by Amplify Prompt, which rewrites your draft prompt to add a role, verification steps, and citation requirements. Tap it again to undo the rewrite, and you can edit the result by hand before saving.
