Saved prompts, notes and Skills in Irys One
My Desk
My Desk is where you keep things you want to use again in Irys. It is personal to you, the signed-in user.
Prompts. A Prompt is a set of instructions you want to use again. Save a prompt that worked and run it again whenever you need it.
Notes. A Note is something you want to keep. Save useful notes or work so they are easy to find later.
Skills. A Skill is a set of steps you want Irys to repeat. If you do something the same way repeatedly, create a Skill once and run it again whenever you need it. You can also start with one of Irys's ready-made Skills.
The simple version: a Prompt is instructions you want to reuse. A Note is something worth keeping. A Skill is steps you want Irys to repeat. My Desk is where all of it lives.
Opening My Desk
- Click My Desk at the top right of any Workbench screen.
- Or press
Cmd+Don a Mac,Ctrl+Don Windows, from anywhere in Workbench. - Click the X to close it. Your chat is exactly where you left it.
My Desk slides in as a drawer on the right, over whatever you were doing, so you never lose your place in a chat.
If the keyboard shortcut opens your browser's bookmark box instead, close it, click anywhere on the Workbench page so the page has focus, and press it again. The My Desk button at the top right always works.
Three tabs
Everything on My Desk sits in three tabs, and the number beside each one is how many you have. + New at the top adds a note, a prompt or a skill from any tab.
Notes
What you want to remember about a matter or client. Each note has a title and a formatted details field, with headings, bold, lists, checklists and tables, plus an optional priority, tags, and links to a matter and a chat. Group them By matter, By client or By topic, where topic means the tags you gave them, and use Search notes to find one by what is in it.
Skills
A saved way of working that Workbench can run for you: a skill.md file with a name, when to use it, and the steps. Run one from the Skills tab, make your own from a chat that went well or from a file, and browse everything available in the Skills Registry, reachable from the bottom of the Skills tab or from Settings.
Prompts
Asks you have saved, held under My Prompts, plus a Starter Pack of ready-made prompts sorted by practice area. Search prompts covers both lists. Amplify Prompt sharpens a prompt the same way it does in Workbench.
Using something from your desk
Inserting never navigates away. Everything lands in the Workbench message box, and nothing runs until you send it.
