About
Christian is an attorney and legal engineer who has spent more than a decade where law meets technology. He earned his J.D. in litigation from Baylor Law School in 2011, began in consumer-financial and commercial litigation at Strasburger & Price, led litigation-management teams at Bank of America, and served for years as in-house counsel and a business-intelligence leader at the fintech Rocktop Technologies, building AI and automation into due diligence, default servicing, and litigation. Most recently he was a senior legal knowledge engineer at the contract-lifecycle-management platform Agiloft, training and evaluating large language models for contract intelligence.
He founded Code & Counsel, a law firm and legal-AI consultancy that helps firms and startups put large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, and contract intelligence to work responsibly, and he is a member of the invitation-only OpenAI Forum. As Head of Product at Irys he leads product strategy and delivery for Irys One, building the unified platform around the operational problems attorneys actually face: drafting, research, matter management, and collaboration in one workspace.
Irys carries SOC 2, ISO 27001, and HIPAA, and never trains on client data. Christian's work sits at the bridge between lawyers and technologists, which is the perspective he brings to how Irys is built.

Areas of expertise
“Lawyers spend more time stitching tools together than practicing law. A unified platform has to be built around the operational problems attorneys actually face, not around the software's assumptions.”
