Overview
Abhijit Kumar is the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Irys, the AI-native legal workspace built by Iqidis, Inc. He leads technology across the company: architecture, the engineering organization, and enterprise deployment in customer clouds and on-premises, including rollouts at public companies and global enterprises. About
Abhijit is an engineering leader and three-time founder who builds the infrastructure that lets AI do real work inside enterprises, where a mistake is not recoverable. As co-founder and CTO of Irys he is responsible for architecture, the engineering organization, enterprise deployments and the infrastructure API. Irys started in legal and now runs deployments across legal, insurance, manufacturing and aviation.
His work at Irys centers on control and verification: how AI work is scoped, permissioned, executed and checked before it touches customer records; private-cloud and on-premises rollouts from security review through go-live; memory and context infrastructure that reuses prior work and cuts token cost on repeated tasks by up to 80%; and the public, reproducible benchmark against incumbent legal AI tools.
Before Irys he was head of engineering at Clientell, where his team deployed autonomous AI agents to more than 400 Salesforce orgs. He co-founded Kluster and ran engineering from the first commit to 400,000 users, co-founded the B2B payments company VaultPay and the pet-food subscription company GoCattles, and was a founding engineer at Pixxel, building its first imagery platform before the first satellite flew. He also led platform engineering at Quizizz and holds a B.E. from BITS Pilani, where he was a Google Summer of Code student and later a mentor.

Areas of expertise
“Rollback assumes reversible state. An agent that has written across 400 records is not a deploy you can roll back. Containment has to happen before execution.”
