AI Assistant

The AI Assistant is the home screen of Irys One — where most of your day happens. Open the platform at core.iqidis.ai and it greets you by name, ready for anything from a quick contract question to a cite-ready memo. The whole point of the surface is that you decide how deeply Irys works on each question, and the rest of the platform — Matters, the Drafting Assistant, Compare, and Sign — is reachable right alongside it.

What you see

The screen is built around one input bar and a few controls. For the full anatomy — every button and what it does — see The AI Assistant Interface. In short:

• A personalized greeting that reflects the matter you're in.
• An input bar where you type, dictate (the microphone, or Shift + Enter), attach files (the paperclip, or drag and drop), and sharpen a prompt with Amplify.
• A mode selector below the input bar — Everyday, Deep Research, or Agent.
• Quick Actions — one-click shortcuts for common drafting tasks, fully customizable.
• My Desk — a slide-out workspace (Notes, Playbook, Library) that travels with you across matters and conversations.

The three modes

You choose how deeply Irys investigates each question. The mode you pick also decides how the answer comes back:

• Everyday (default) — fast, direct answers for drafting, summarizing, rewording, and straightforward questions. Copy-ready text, no inline citations.
• Deep Research — one comprehensive pass across legal sources and your matter, returning a memo-quality report with citations gathered at the end.
• Agent — a full investigation that reads your matter, verifies authority, and writes a memo with inline citations you can click and check.

The right mode depends on the question, the stakes, and how much time you have. It is also normal to use two or three of them in the same session — triage in Everyday, dig in Agent, run Cite Check on a Deep Research report. Matter-aware context

Open the Assistant from inside a Matter and it already has every document in that matter's library — no re-uploading. Ask broad questions across the whole set — "what are the indemnification obligations across all the vendor contracts?" — and it works from your full document set to produce a grounded, citation-backed answer.

Working with answers

Any answer can be downloaded as PDF or Word (DOCX), saved with Save this output to Notes in My Desk, or copied straight out — so the work you generate here flows into the rest of your matter.
