Guides
Irys One ships with three in-product learning surfaces, plus a single library that brings every guide together in one searchable place. All four are accessible from inside the product at core.iqidis.ai/guides.
| Surface | Where you find it | When to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Start Tour | Dashboard greeting area | First time using Irys, or first time on a tool you have not opened before |
| Learn More | Header of every tool page | You are already inside a tool and want a refresher, a tutorial, or an expert demo |
| Guides library | Linked from the Learn More panel as All Guides | Browse every video and tutorial across every tool from one place |
Four formats you will see
Each surface routes you to one of four content formats. Knowing which is which saves time when you are looking for something specific.
| Format | What it is | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Interactive Demo | A short in-product tour that takes over the tool page and highlights key controls in 4–6 steps | First-time orientation to a tool |
| Watch a Walkthrough | A short recorded video of the tool's core workflow | Quick refresher on how the tool flows end-to-end |
| Watch Expert Demo | A longer recorded walkthrough opening in a video player, showing the tool used on a realistic legal scenario | Watching an expert use the tool the way you would in practice |
| Tutorials | A library of short, step-by-step video tutorials covering specific tasks (uploading a document, switching AI models, pinning a chat, and so on) | Learning a single feature or workflow on demand |
Start Tour — the Dashboard launcher
On the Dashboard, a New here? Start Tour prompt sits next to the greeting. Clicking it opens the Interactive Demos dialog — a directory of guided tours, one for each major tool.
Tours available from this dialog:
- AI Assistant — research, drafting, and analysis basics
- Library — document management and organization
- Matters — creating and managing matter workspaces
- Case Law Research — search and research across federal and state opinions
- Multi-Doc Analysis — analyzing multiple documents at once
- Drafting Assistant — creating and editing documents with AI suggestions
- Compare — side-by-side document comparison and redline reports
- Template Builder — creating reusable templates with fillable fields
- Sign — signing documents inside Irys
Selecting a tour navigates to that tool and walks you through 4–6 steps that highlight the key controls and explain what each one does.
You can restart any tour at any time from this dialog. Tours are short — usually under two minutes — and a useful refresher when you come back to a tool after a break.
Learn More — the per-tool guide panel
Every tool page has a Learn More button in the header. Clicking it opens a panel scoped to the tool you are currently viewing.
The Learn More panel contains:
| Element | What it does |
|---|---|
| Tool summary | A one-paragraph description of what the tool does and when to use it |
| Watch a Walkthrough | Opens the short walkthrough video for this tool |
| Watch Expert Demo | Opens the longer recorded expert demo |
| Interactive Demo | Restarts the in-product tour for this tool |
| Capabilities | A count of what the tool can do, expandable into a list |
| Tutorials | A count of step-by-step tutorials available for this tool, expandable into the list |
| All Guides | Opens the full Guides library |
The Learn More panel is contextual — open it from inside the Drafting Assistant and you see Drafting Assistant content; open it from inside Sign and you see Sign content. There is no need to navigate elsewhere to find tool-specific learning material.
The Guides library
The All Guides link in the Learn More panel opens the central Guides library — a searchable, filterable directory of every walkthrough, expert demo, and tutorial in Irys.
The library lives inside the product (not on the website). Find it at core.iqidis.ai/guides, under Guides in the main navigation, or open it from any Learn More panel.
Searching the library
A search bar at the top of the library matches against the title and description of every video. Type a feature name (pinning chats, cite check, matter chat) and the library narrows in real time.
Filtering by category
Category chips below the search bar filter the library to a single topic. The available categories are:
- All — every guide
- Chat — AI Assistant conversation features (pinning, tagging, transferring, agent mode)
- Research — case law search, inline citations, agent-mode research
- Prompts — Playbook, Prompt Architect, Amplify
- Documents — Library, uploads, document management
- Matters — matter creation, workspaces, organization
- Dashboard — Dashboard navigation and features
- My Desk — notes, prompts, workflows hub
- Notes — creating and managing notes
- Settings — user preferences, AI model switching
- Organization — managing matters, chats, and content across the platform
- Expert — long-form expert walkthroughs of complete tool capabilities
- Support — requesting features and reporting bugs
A guide can carry more than one category (for example, "Inline Citations" is tagged both Research and Chat), so filtering by one category still surfaces guides where it is a secondary topic.
What each card shows
Every guide card displays:
- A title and a one-line description of what the guide covers
- The video runtime (most are 2–8 minutes)
- One or more category tags
Click any card to open the video. Expert demos open in a video player; tutorials and walkthroughs open in a short interactive format you can pause, skip, or replay.
How the surfaces work together
The three surfaces layer naturally:
- Start Tour introduces a tool you have not touched yet
- Learn More keeps a deeper library a click away once you are inside a tool
- Guides library is the destination for searching across everything
You do not have to use them in order. Power users go straight to the Guides library; first-time users typically start with Start Tour from the Dashboard.
Looking for a written reference instead of a video or tour? The Irys One Docs cover every tool, plan, and policy in writing. The two are complementary — guides for hands-on walkthroughs, docs for searchable reference.
