Drafting Assistant

The Drafting Assistant is a Word-like document editor inside Irys One that lets you draft, revise, and finalize legal documents without leaving your browser. Every AI edit surfaces as a tracked change you can accept or reject, so you stay in full control of your work product.

Key capabilities

Rich text editing

The editor supports the formatting tools you expect from a desktop word processor:

• Fonts, font sizes, bold, italic, underline, strikethrough
• Paragraph styles and headings
• Tables with cell merging and borders
• Ruler for margins and indents
• Zoom control for comfortable reading

Two manual editing modes

Switch between modes at any time from the toolbar.

AI always-redline workflow

When the AI modifies your document, changes always appear as tracked changes regardless of which editing mode you are in. Deletions show in strikethrough and insertions are highlighted, giving you a clear before-and-after view.

Use Accept All or Reject All to resolve changes in one click, or step through them individually.

Versioning

Save snapshots of your document at any point:

• Save to this version - overwrite the current version in place.
• Save to new version - create a new entry in version history.

Open the version history panel to compare or restore earlier drafts.

Export

Export your finished document as:

• DOCX - formatting, styles, and tables carry over to Microsoft Word.
• PDF - generate a print-ready file directly from the editor.
