Matters
A Matter is the unit of work in Irys One — a shared container that brings together documents, conversations, drafts, tasks, and AI context for a single case, deal, or project. Every Practice Tool — Drafting Assistant, Compare, Multi-Doc Analysis, AI Assistant — connects back to it.
The six panels
Every Matter opens to a 2-column grid of six panels. Each panel previews its most recent activity and offers context actions on individual items.

A summary stats bar between the header and the panels shows clickable counts — Documents, Conversations, Notes, Review Matrix, and Drafts.
Context actions
Practice Tools (AI Assistant, Drafting Assistant, Compare, etc.) can be launched with the Matter context already loaded. Conversations and Drafts open and automatically reference the Matter's context. Review Matrix opens Multi-Doc Analysis with the Matter's documents pre-selected. Results auto-link back to the Matter.
How it works
Each panel previews its last activity and offers context actions inline — open a document in Drafting Assistant, compare it, or send for signature without leaving the Matter. Status, due date, and assignees live in the header. A pinned note set by any Matter member shows on the Matter card and on the detail page. A floating Ask Irys window scoped to the Matter is always available on the page.
