Dashboard

The Dashboard is the first thing you land on after signing in. It pulls your active work into one place and adapts to how much depth you need: it leads with what is urgent, and reveals more only when you ask.

New to Irys? The Guides page walks through every major tool in the platform.

The header

A persistent header runs across the Dashboard: a personalized greeting, the Workspace selector (which scopes everything you see), global Search (⌘K), a Learn More entry point, the notification bell, and the My Desk button, which opens your personal workspace. See My Desk.

The three views

The Dashboard has three views you move between with the Dashboard View control near the top. Each view is complete on its own. Focus is the default; Command and Full are one click away whenever you want more. They are not stacked tabs. Each is its own layout, arranged for a different job.

ViewThe question it answersWhat it shows
FocusWhat is the one thing I should do right now?Your priority matters, an Ask Irys bar, and a way to jump back into recent work
CommandWhat is happening across my work and my team?Tasks, team activity, recent chats, multi-document analysis, and a matters carousel
FullWhat is available to me on the platform?Everything in Command, plus practice tools, integrations, and the product roadmap

Focus

The default view, built to get you into your most important work within seconds. It fits in a single screen and shows three things:

  • Priority matters. Your most pressing matters, side by side. Each card shows its client, an urgency badge, the next action to take, counts of its documents, chats, and insights, a progress bar for its tasks, and any pinned note. Enough to triage at a glance.
  • Ask Irys. An input bar to start a chat, drop in a document, or run research without opening another screen first. Submitting it takes you into the AI Assistant with the conversation already started.
  • Jump back in. Your most recent work sessions across tools, each tagged with its matter and how long ago you touched it, so you can pick up where you left off in one click.

Focus has a fixed layout, so your urgent work is always in the same place.

Command

The view for seeing across all of your work and your team. It is its own layout (the Ask Irys bar and the priority-matters framing belong to Focus), and it leads with:

  • Recent matters carousel. Scroll through more of your matters, each card showing its urgency, next action, key counts, and pinned insight.
  • My Tasks. Your tasks across every matter, with a summary of what needs attention and what is overdue. When a task maps to a specific tool, a suggestion lets you launch straight into it.
  • Team Activity. A feed of what the rest of your team has been doing, filterable by documents, chats, and tasks.
  • Multi-Document Analysis and Recent Chats. Your latest sessions in each, with a one-click way to resume or start a new one.
  • Urgent signatures banner. A heads-up when documents are waiting on your signature, with a link straight to Sign.
  • Quick Access strip. One-click launch into Drafting, Research, Compare, Sign, and Templates. Each opens a short menu to resume a recent session or start fresh.

You can also start a new matter from here. The new-matter form captures the name, client, practice area, tags, and per-matter AI instructions that shape how the AI Assistant behaves inside that matter. See Creating a Matter.

Full

The most complete view. It keeps everything in Command and adds the rest of the platform:

  • Your Practice Tools. A grid of the tools you use, each showing how recently and how often you have used it and the matter it was last tied to.
  • Integrations. Your connected services with live sync status, the ones available to connect, and a Coming Soon group of integrations in early access.
  • Available Now. A showcase of features that have recently shipped.
  • Roadmap. A look at what is planned next, where you can show interest in features you want.

Switching views

Use the Dashboard View control near the top of the Dashboard to move between Focus, Command, and Full. Irys remembers the view you chose and opens there next time.

If a panel you are looking for is not in Focus, switch to Command or Full. The views simply reveal more as you go deeper.

Workspace scoping

Everything on the Dashboard is scoped to your active Workspace. Matters, tasks, chats, and team activity all reflect the Workspace you are in. Switch from the Workspace selector in the header, and the Dashboard updates to that workspace's work. See Workspaces.

Arranging panels

In the Command and Full views, each panel has its own controls in its header. Drag a panel by the six-dot handle on its left to reorder it, use the pin icon to pin or unpin it, and use the chevron to collapse or expand it. The controls sit on the panel itself, so there is no separate edit mode to turn on. Focus has a fixed layout, so its panels stay in place.

Opening a matter

Selecting any matter card opens the full matter context, where the matter's documents, conversations, notes, tasks, drafted documents, and insights live together, along with an Ask Irys input scoped to that matter. See Matters.

Account settings

Your account-level settings, including your professional info, AI profile, and interface preferences, live in Account Settings. Open the circle with your initials in the bottom-left corner and choose Account Settings. See Account Settings.
