Workbench
Workbench is the agentic legal AI workspace. You ask in plain English, and Workbench plans the task, reaches into the accounts you already use, does the work, and brings it back to the matter. You ask once, and review finished work instead of assembling it yourself.
Workbench is one place to work: context builds as you go, and the right tools, skills, and connections are assembled around each task, so you stop hopping between systems and carrying the context in your head.
What Workbench does
- Research and verify. Ask a legal question and get real case law from a 50M+ opinion database, with working links to the actual reporters, checked against CourtListener, never invented.
- Draft, compare, and revise. Produce and mark up real documents, compare versions and clauses, and refine the output without starting over.
- Produce real deliverables. A Google Doc, a downloadable Word document, an Excel workbook, or an email draft ready in Gmail or Outlook.
- Work where your files already live. No downloading an attachment to re-upload it, no copying an answer out of chat into an email. Workbench reaches into the accounts you connect (Gmail, Drive, Outlook, OneDrive, Dropbox, Slack), pulls the actual email or file into the matter, and drops finished work back where it belongs: a doc in Drive, a reply waiting in your inbox.
- Take steering while it works. Watch it reason in real time, stop it mid task, or add an instruction to a running turn. It adjusts course instead of finishing wrong and making you start over.
- Stay in control. Every connection is read and limited write, and Workbench never sends on its own. You decide, per chat, which accounts it may touch.
One task, end to end
Ask once, inside a matter: "Explain contract-for-deed under Texas law, pull the Property Code text and the key cases, build the memo as a Google Doc, and draft the partner email." Workbench plans the steps, reads the matter, researches the statute and the controlling cases with checked citations, creates the memo in Drive, produces a Word version, and leaves an email draft ready for review, created, never sent. Follow the full arc in How a task runs.
Connect your accounts
Workbench works from the real record instead of what you paste in. Connect the accounts you already use and it can search, read, draft, and create across them, all from inside a matter. At launch Workbench connects to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Sheets, Outlook, OneDrive, Dropbox, and Slack, plus legal case-law research.
Coming soon: Skills, reusable, shareable workflows you can save and hand to Workbench, so a multi-step job you run often becomes one instruction.
