The Matter dashboard
Every Matter opens to a 2-column grid of six panels. Each panel previews its most recent activity and offers context actions on individual items, so you can act on a document or a draft without leaving the Matter.
The six panels

Summary stats bar
A horizontal bar of clickable count cards sits between the header and the panels — Documents, Conversations, Notes, Review Matrix, and Drafts.
Context actions on panel items
Each panel exposes context actions on individual items so you can launch a Practice Tool with the Matter context already loaded. Results auto-link back to the Matter.
Documents panel

Notes panel — drafting modal
Adding a note opens a center-screen modal with a template picker (Meeting Notes, Research Notes, Client Call, Checklist). The panel itself stays compact — just the recent notes list and the + Add Note button.
Drafts panel visibility
Drafts created inside a Matter are visible to all Workspace members with access to the Matter.
Folder management lives in the Library
You can upload directly to a Matter's Documents panel, but to organize files into folders — rename them, move them, build a hierarchy — go through the Library. Click View all documents → in the Documents panel to open the Library scoped to this Matter's documents.
This keeps the Documents panel simple (at-a-glance view + quick upload) and puts folder management on the surface that owns it. See Folders.
