Irys Lite gives you the full Irys platform — every module, including the Word Add-In — with usage caps designed for evaluation, not daily practice. If you start using Irys for real client work, you will outgrow Lite quickly. That is when Irys One steps in.

The only difference between Lite and Irys One is usage. Lite is capped.
The four caps

| 1 active case at a time | A Matter is one active case or project workspace. Lite lets you work on one at a time. You can archive a Matter and start a new one. |
| 25 AI questions per day | Each message to the AI Assistant counts as one. Deep Research uses 3 to 5 messages per query; Agent mode can use more. The counter resets each day. |
| 250 MB of storage | Roughly 50 standard documents, depending on file size. |
| 1 reusable workflow | A Playbook is a reusable AI workflow — a set of instructions you build once and reuse across cases. Lite includes one. |
What happens when you hit a cap
When you hit a cap, Irys shows a single upgrade modal:
Upgrade to Irys One for unlimited active legal work.
No usage meters or warning banners before the wall. The wall itself is the signal. From the modal you can:
- Upgrade to Irys One ($299/month) and continue immediately
- Close the modal and keep using everything that is not gated by that cap
Your work is preserved. Hitting a cap never deletes a Matter, a document, or a draft.
How to upgrade
From your account settings, click Change Plan and select Irys One. The change takes effect immediately and the caps are removed in the same session.
Your existing Matter, documents, drafts, chat history, and Playbook all carry forward. Nothing to re-set-up.
If you are a 2–50 attorney firm, Irys Teams ($329 per seat/month) is the right plan and is shipping soon. You can move from Lite straight to Teams when it goes live.

Is the Word Add-In included on Lite? Yes. Every paid Irys plan, including Lite, includes the Word Add-In at no additional cost.
Can I cancel Lite anytime? Yes. Cancellation is self-serve from your account settings. The 90-day deactivation window and one-click reactivation work the same way on Lite as on every other plan. See How cancellation works.
Is there an annual price for Lite? Lite is monthly only at launch.
What if I am a student? We have a separate Student plan. It is not Irys Lite. Reach out to support@iqidis.ai if you signed up as a student.
