Announcing Irys Deploy
Advisory & Deployment
We do not install. We embed. Irys Deploy is a five-layer framework for turning legal AI from a tool the firm uses into the way the firm runs.
Available for Teams and Enterprise clients.
What 300+ deployments taught us
The product works. Adoption depth is the real game.
Lawyers log in. They create matters, run research, draft documents, collaborate. Every Irys module connects to the next, so most firms are productive from day one.
But there is a difference between productive and getting the full value. The firms that close that gap all have one thing in common. Someone showed them how the platform maps to how they actually practice. Practice groups walked through their workflows. Billing teams shown how to surface AI usage for clients. Legal ops shown how governance lives inside the system. Knowledge management shown how institutional precedent compounds across matters.
Adoption depth changes measurably when that work happens. That pattern repeated enough that we stopped treating it as a nice-to-have and started building around it. That is Irys Deploy.
The framework
Irys Deploy is five layers.
01 Platform
The Irys product surface
Matters, AI assistant, drafting, research, collaboration, knowledge graph, agentic capabilities. The foundation everything else builds on. Designed so firms should not need a manual to get value from day one.
- Every module connects to the next
- Research feeds drafting, drafting feeds collaboration
- Documents feed the knowledge graph
02 Governance
AI governance built in from day one
Most firms we talk to are retrofitting governance after a near-miss. That is backwards. Governance should be the first conversation, not the last.
- Model usage policies and decision rights
- Client-data handling and audit logging
- Reporting line and ongoing oversight
03 Change Management
The discipline most vendors skip
Vendors do not lose because the product is bad. They lose because they never solved adoption. The firms that build adoption faster win, not the firms that build features faster.
- Stakeholder mapping and training design
- Communications planning and resistance management
- Continued education across practice groups
04 Champion Network
Embedded across the firm
Lawyers come and go. They chase laterals, change practice areas, follow the money. The operations staff who stay for a decade decide whether the platform lives or dies. They are in the room from day one.
- Practice champions and business-services champions
- Pitch, billing, risk and compliance, legal ops
- Knowledge management and innovation leads
05 Firm Operating Model
Not a tool. The way the firm runs.
After twelve months, governance is built around Irys, workflows are built inside it, institutional knowledge lives in it. The cost of switching is not the licence fee. It is the operating-model rebuild. That compounds.
- Workflows rebuilt inside the platform
- Institutional knowledge compounding daily
- Switching cost measured in operating model, not licence
Honest scope
What Irys Deploy does not do.
Irys Deploy does not assume we are the right tool for every workflow in your firm. Part of the deployment process is identifying where Irys creates the most value and being honest about where it does not. We would rather own the workflows that matter and do them exceptionally than force the platform into places it does not belong.
That is not a limitation. It is a design choice. A good lawyer does not take every case. A good platform does not force itself into every workflow. The firms we work with trust us because we tell them the truth about where we fit.
Billing strategy
AI does not eliminate billable hours. It transforms them.
Every managing partner is asking the same question. If AI makes work faster, how do we bill for it? The answer depends on your practice mix, your client relationships, and your fee structures. Billing strategy is part of every Irys Deploy engagement.
Hourly billing
AI does not reduce your billable hours. It increases your capacity. You complete the same work in less time, freeing hours for matters you previously could not staff. The net effect: more matters, more revenue, same headcount.
Fixed fee and alternative fee arrangements
This is where AI becomes a profit engine. When you quote a fixed fee, every hour of efficiency goes straight to margin. AI makes fixed-fee work profitable instead of painful. You deliver faster, keep the spread, and win the next engagement.
Value-based billing
When clients pay for outcomes, speed becomes a feature. AI lets you deliver a complete research memo in hours instead of days, a first draft before the call ends, a full doc comparison during the meeting. The value to the client goes up. So does what you can charge.
Blended and hybrid models
Most firms use a mix. We help you identify which matters benefit from which model, how to describe AI-assisted work on invoices, and how to have the conversation with clients who ask 'are you using AI?' because they will ask.

Discovery
We learn your practice mix, billing model, team structure, and technology stack. No generic pitch. We listen first, then map the five layers to your firm.
Governance design
Before a single user is onboarded, we work through model usage policies, client-data handling, audit logging, decision rights, and reporting line. Governance is the first conversation.
Custom deployment plan
A week-by-week rollout with practice-area-specific use cases, training schedule, champion network setup, and adoption milestones for each business-services team.
Billing strategy session
We work through your billing model. Hourly, fixed, AFA, or blended. And provide templates for invoice descriptions, client disclosure, and engagement letter language.
Team onboarding and champion activation
Live training sessions for each practice group and business-services team. Not a generic demo. Specific workflows for the work they actually do every day.
Adoption tracking
Weekly usage reports, adoption metrics, and check-ins with your deployment lead. If a team is not using the platform, we find out why and fix it.
Quarterly review
Review ROI, usage patterns, governance posture, and new feature opportunities. Adjust the playbook based on what is working and what needs to change.
Who this is for
Firms that want AI to be adopted, not just purchased.
