Installation
Prerequisites
- Microsoft Word for desktop (Windows or Mac).
- An active Irys One account at core.iqidis.ai.
Option 1 — Install from within Word
Open Microsoft Word
Launch Word and open any document, or create a new blank document.
Open the add-in store
Go to Insert → Add-ins → Get Add-ins. The Microsoft Office Add-in Store dialog will open.
Search for Irys
Type Irys in the search bar and press Enter. Select the Irys add-in from the results and click Add.
Sign in
The Irys sidebar will open. Sign in with the same email and password you use at core.iqidis.ai. If your organization uses SSO, you will be redirected to your identity provider.
Option 2 — Install from Microsoft AppSource
- Visit the Irys page on Microsoft AppSource.
- Click Get it Now.
- Follow the prompts to add the add-in to your Microsoft account.
- Open Word and the Irys sidebar will be available.
Tip: Once installed, the add-in persists across all Word documents. You do not need to reinstall it each time you open a new file.
Accessing the sidebar
After installation, open the Irys sidebar at any time by clicking the Irys icon in the Word ribbon. The sidebar provides access to Chat mode, Work mode, and file upload.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
| Add-in does not appear in the store | Confirm your Microsoft 365 subscription supports add-ins. Contact your IT administrator if add-in installation is restricted by policy. |
| Sign-in fails | Verify your credentials at core.iqidis.ai first. If your organization enforces SSO, ensure you are on the corporate network or VPN. |
| Sidebar is blank | Close and reopen the sidebar. If the issue persists, restart Word. |
