Creating Templates
Getting started
Open the Template Builder
Navigate to Template Builder from the left sidebar in core.iqidis.ai. You will land on the template dashboard.
Upload a document
Click New Template and upload a .docx file. This becomes the base of your template. The document opens in the rich text editor with all formatting preserved.
Name the template
Give your template a clear, descriptive name — for example, "Standard NDA" or "Client Engagement Letter." The name is searchable from the dashboard.
Edit in the rich text editor
Use the full-featured editor to refine language, adjust formatting, add tables, or insert {{fieldName}} placeholders where information changes between uses. The editor supports the same toolbar as the Drafting Assistant: fonts, headings, bold, italic, tables, and paragraph styles.
Save
Click Save to add the template to your library. It is now available from the template dashboard for you and your organization.
Template dashboard
The dashboard is your central hub for managing templates.
| Action | How |
|---|---|
| Search | Use the search bar to find templates by name or keyword. |
| Sort | Sort the list by date created, date modified, or alphabetical order. |
| Edit | Click a template to reopen it in the editor. Changes are saved to the same template. |
| Duplicate | Create a copy of an existing template to build a variant without modifying the original. |
| Delete | Remove templates you no longer need. Deletion is permanent. |
Exporting templates
Click the Export button on any template to download it as a .docx file. Exported files retain all formatting and can be opened in Microsoft Word or any compatible editor.
Tip: Duplicate a template before making significant changes. This preserves the original while letting you experiment freely.
